REUNION ALERT:
Please send in your payment for the 45th reunion. Until February 1,
2012, you can purchase a ticket for $40. After February 1st,
the price goe s up to $50 per ticket.
The
drawing for the $50 Ruth Chris Steakhouse for those who bought
tickets before December 15th was won by Bob Price.
Congratulations Bob, just let us know when, so we can all join you!

Class of 1967 Presents Gift to Highlands High School

Gloria Perez, Highlands HS Librarian
Members of the Highlands High School Class of
1967 recently gifted the school library fund with a check for
$250.00. Representing the Class in presentation of the gift were
Susan Torchia, Reunion President and Larry Luckett, Reunion
Publicity Chair. Accepting for Highlands
were Lorna Klokkenga, Principal and Gloria Perez, Librarian.
The gift originated from funds remaining after
expenses from the recent 40-year reunion of the Class of 1967. Over
250 Class members and their families returned to
Highlands for the reunion in July 2007, where they
enjoyed a campus tour and a dinner/dance.
“This gift is an expression of our gratitude for
the education we gained from our attendance at
Highlands,” said Luckett. “The large crowd of Class
members who returned for the reunion shows the strong ties to
Highlands that still remain with the Class today.”
“We’re very grateful that the Class thought of
the Library,” stated Perez. “We can always use more books for our
students.”
